As autumn progresses our native plants at Kingfisher Nursery begin their retreat into dormancy. As most are deciduous, their aerial parts in the main are lost. It’s a time of crop maintenance where plants can be cut back where necessary and cleaned ready for the next season
There are however opportunities to collect seeds from some species and this has been ongoing from late September / October and will continue into November. The seeds will then be added to our seed bank store ready for growing next year. The cycle continues…..
