The long-term integrity of the perimeter bunds of the island and the introduction of an enhanced wildlife habitat/wetland were required. The site had serious access issues and a 24/7 working timetable to reduce disruption to shipping.
Project Delivery
Terraqua was contracted to supply pre-established coir rolls for the project. The coir rolls were planted with saline tolerant plants and grown on in the nursery before being delivered to Chatham Docks from where they were transported to the island by barge.
